This park is easier to find, just get to the north end of Caledonia and get on Hwy 1 and follow it until you are in the park.
This park is in the furthest southeast corner of the sate. We were within a mile of the IA border getting here and will be following the WI border on the way out.
One of the first things we noticed was the Boy Scout trailer sitting in a camping area. We thought it might be crowded because of it but they all seemed to be in their camping area while we were there.
1st stop was the pit toilet. Not as bad as the one a week ago but not good. Just one, just a pit. We did see more just a little ways down the path.
Parking lot is one long dirt lot, after you cross a stream with no guard rail.
To get on the path you have to cross a new style walking bridge. Someone was fishing just up the stream.
Right away there is a split to stay on the pavement or go UP. We stayed on the pavement this time.
A lot of this path looked like it may have been muddy right after a rain but was fine today. Most of the way on this path you could hear the streams if you couldn't see them.

Lots of these bridges. Usually a large step up on one end or the other. The water is very clear but we didn't see anything that looked like fish.
One place I did stand for a while and look for fish, instead I saw the leaves getting sucked to the bottom. Right there was a strange current in an other wise normal river.
This trip was about half doubling back, most of the trails are right along the river or dead ends to the top of the bluff. Maybe another day we will walk those. With the trail following the river there wasn't much change in elevation.
We ended up walking just under an hour here.
Then we had DQ :)
And then went to two cemeteries. Smaller ones, the first one we just drove until I found the grave marker and the second one we walked for about another 15 minutes until we found both of them. The first one we found within a few steps of getting out of the van, the rest was looking for the second one.
Another night in a motel. Not sure where we will be stopping tomorrow.
