First major walk this year. Saw a little wildlife. Before we even parked there were two people in a car watching these deer. They were only a few feet the roadway and only a few feet from the parking lot. They didn't even run when a dog walked past.

We walked around Snelling Lake. About a 2.4 mile walk. A little longer than our half mile walks in the neighborhood.

The trail is about half paved and about half dirt. The dirt part is the width of a vehicle.

As soon as we started we saw three people, looking at some other deer that were within a few feet of the path. I didn't think of taking a picture of those two.

We did see less than 10 people on the path the whole trip. The weather was cool but dry.

On the 2nd half of the walk we saw what is likely an eagles nest.

We also saw a large muskrat house near the shore by the beach. The beach was still empty, temps today were in the mid-40's.

After we left the park, we were about two miles down the road it started to snow. Enough to run the wipers.
