2021 05 24 - Duluth Canal Lake Walk - Duluth MN

Still cold and windy this AM but we did get outside. The wind had died down enough that we walked out to the lighthouse but then along the water to the west of the bridge so that we were partially shielded by the buildings.

I had not brought a winter cap but someone had left one in the car a few years ago and it fit. My wife had brought her cap and mittens.

Today was a work day and the crew was working on getting the boardwalk landscaping done. We watched as they were dumping the black dirt on top of the fill and every time they dumped or even shoveled the dirt would steam for a long time.

Lots of room in the pay lots for parking. I don't know where any free parking would be near the boardwalk of the lift bridge. Half the times when we stop here, we are at the Comfort Inn. Otherwise we have always been able to find a place to park at Grandma's (when we eat) or at a pay lot.
