2021 07 09 - Two Harbors - Gooseberry Falls

Short walks today. besides this one, we also did the AM one in Duluth and a PM one in Grand Marias.

My wife's knee and hip bother her pretty quickly when we start walking so we start by parking close to the trail for taking a walk.

Then we only walk from the parking lot to the main falls. The round trip walk is just over a half mile and we stopped a few times so my wife could rest. She also sat while walked down to the water level to take some more pictures so I likely had closer to a mile walk.

Actually I am not sure how long our walk was. I am using Google and it may take the stairs down to the falls and we walked the 'wheel chair' route.

The walk both main falls are blacktopped and on an easy grade for walking. To get water level, walking the stairs is required.

And there is plenty of parking, most people just do a quick walk so the turnover is high. If the lot is full just drive around it again and a place should open up.

The falls are as low as we have seen them. I took pictures today I will have to compare to other pictures I have taken. Lots of rocks I do not remember seeing before.
