This one is a state park so I am doing in separate write up.

This park is just before the Candian border, you can see those buildings when as you turn into the park.

This walk is a one mile round trip on pavement and boardwalk. To get the best views there are an additional 20 ? steps at the end of the trail to get even better views. But even without those steps there is a great view. This time two in our group did not do the steps.

The picture above is where the trail narrows into the width of the boardwalk.

Today we were there an hour and a half, that included realizing it was colder than we thought so we back tracked to the car to get clothes. Later we walked slow because one person backtracked to get their sun glasses from a bench and someone else almost back tracked to get their water bottle which someone else was holding for them.

Later, our grand-daugher and I did a side trail down by the river and the others kept pace with us on the main trail.

Everyone with all our aches and pains did OK on this trail. Well worth the hike.

I had mentioned that the water falls looked the same as last year and someone pulled their last years pictures up on their phone. Water level is the same here.

The signs say this "has Minnesota’s tallest waterfall, it’s one of the smallest state parks."

There is a 2nd paved trail that we have never done, yet. It is a little less than half the length and should be even more flat.

And there is a third, non-paved trail that goes to the middle falls that is three miles plus. We would have to work our way up to that one. We are not in any shape to be doing that now.
