Picture - It's not too hard to guess where this picture was taken. It is a mostly level walk on a dirt trail to get to this point.
When we arrived at the park, as we were heading to the parking area, someone on a bicycle blew threw their stop sign at about 40 mph just a few feet ahead of me. I didn't skid the times or think of blowing the horn. Not sure if I scared them? We walked that path later and there is a stop ahead sign, a stop sign and the street is marked as a crossing so not likely they 'missed it.'
We started out on the hiking trail but I am guessing somewhere we lost it. Even the hiking trail at this park has some pretty steep climbs. I would put the hills about half way between flat and needing a stairs. Steep enough to be good for sledding in the winter.
For the last few days we have been taking our walks a little at a time. Today we had planned on taking a couple of short walks, but ended up doing one long walk at this park.
Later in the day when we might have stopped again to walk the temps were around 85.
This walk came in at 2 miles based on a walk-o-meter. About the first third was within site of the lake.

With a few benches to stop and sit. I don't remember any benches once we got to the paved trail.
Near the entrance to the park they are putting in a new road and a new bike path. They were just laying another layer of blacktop when we were there so it should be done next time. We looked at the maps in the park and nothing is listed in that area now. It puts a road under hwy 61.
No wild life today, and not much for hikers.
I don't know of a good flat place in this park to hike. We parked at the first parking lot in the park after the entrance. From there just walk until you get to the hills and then turn around.
