2022 07 16 - Lighthouse - Grand Marais MN

The walk is almost flat. As of a few years ago they added steps to get up onto the wall. Right here there is a guide cable but further out where there is water on both sides, the cable or posts are loose or gone.

The cable has been that way most of the 30 years we have been coming up here. Then a few years ago they had it all fixed up. But I am guessing that the ice and waves take it down in the winter.

Two way traffic so someone does not get to hold on to the cable even where there is one. This used to be something we would do many times a day with young kids, but now that they and we have gotten older we do not go out as much any more.

Picture - We could not find out the why, but there were 1,000's of moths on the water in many places along the shore.
