We have not yet taken the 'access to downtown,' at least not recently. There are a lot of stairs as it goes up and over the freeway, here. Now that I have looked on-line there are two other ways to get up to the top of the freeway.

If you are just wanting to walk to downtown, the fastest / shortest way would likely be the sidewalk on Lake St. It has cross walks and walk lights.

We have never done the 'up' walk above the freeway here. We will have to try it next time.

In our younger days when we would walk for hours, we did walk the up and down at Rose Garden. That is another area on the Board Walk where there are walking paths over the freeway but further from downtown.

Last night we did see ships both coming and going. For one of the ones leaving I did get a 5+ minute video.
