Photo - Entrance sign inside park.

We got to the park about 4:30, it was Saturday and the temps were in the 40's but it was sunny.

The road in was not paved. Lots of rough, water filled holes.

We park at the main (?) parking area part way in. We first walk to the west but as soon as we got to the trees the path was snow covered. So we headed to the east of the car, path was snow covered and hilly.

So we went back to the car so my wife could switch to snow boots.

Picture - this is the up hill path coming back from the north lookout.

This is what most of the path looked like, although there were a few areas that were not snow covered.

We walked for 1.9 miles and it took us 1 hour and 10 minutes. We only saw a couple of other people today. Wear boots. It is harder work that walking on dry, flat ground.

Picture - Wide angle. (the wood is in a straight line. Overlooking the Mississippi from the north lookout point.

I had hoped we would see some eagles but the only ones we saw today were close to Le Crosse.
