2023 07 28 - Riverside Park - Fort Morgan CO

Our plan was to go for a walk down the dirt roads behind the hotel. We had looked on line and there seemed to be a few options.

Both those options look good from the aerial photos. The first 'side road' had a gate across it, as did the 3rd one. The 2nd one had a gate and a company sign next to the gate, but the gate was open.

BUT ... what we hadn't seen, was a driveway into a park. A park that neither of us had seen on the map. No real signage saying what this place was. We didn't know the name of it until we were back at the hotel.

The first things we noticed were the frisbee golf nets. Then we found a sign that showed the paths, but not the frisbee info. Park is pretty basic. Flat, pools of water the same distance apart with a path between each one. The area looks like it used to be a gravel pit or something.

This area is about as flat as can be. The paths we were on were paved (or gravel, I don't remember.) There were two parking areas for a few cars each on this end. By the looks of the map the main entrance was on the other end of the park.

This end of the park is at the exit with the Best Western and is located behind the camp grounds.
