Picture: Eastern end of the River Walk.
On this day we had gone downtown Tampa to go to the history museum as it was forecast to rain most of the day. Based on GPS directions, we could not find the parking lot we were looking for and ended up parking in an open area next to where the cruise lines depart.
And to get to the museum from the parking lot, we walked a few feet on the River Walk. So once we were done at the museum and done eating we took a walk.
The only other river walk we have been on was in San Antonio. This is nothing like that one except it follows the river.
Other than a couple of blocks on the east end where we started, it is just a walkway between the river and the buildings. The first area shown above has a park on one side.
We did our usual mile and a half, one hour walk out and back. Any place there is stairs, there is also a ramp.
We did see a few homeless, but they were packed up and just sitting on benches. Today was a weekday so most of the passenger tour boats were docked.
For us, it was a place to walk where we did not have to cross traffic.
Not sure of the cost for parking in the area.

Picture: I think this was in front of the event center. Notice the crowds of people ...
