2024 07 10 - Canal Park - Duluth MN

The native vegetation is finally starting to take hold but most of the bushes between the boardwalk and the bike path are gone.

Not sure what it is, but my wife has an issue with walking on the boardwalk. We didn't even get a quarter mile and we had to switch to the bike path and then turn around. Her legs bother her when she walks on the boardwalk. The wrong amount of give or something?

Beautiful night for a walk. By the time we got back to our room there was a ship leaving. If we had walked out to the actual canal we would have seen it coming or if we had walked to the lighthouse it would have been there by the time we got back.

We did try it again the next morning, but by walking on the bike path and gravel path and still only made it about a quarter mile.

But all is in good repair this year. Parking is not free. I think it is about the one mile mark from the canal when the elevation changes.
