Food vendors

We were on our way back from making a drop in ND and had all day to get home from here so e decided to do a walk before we got going this AM.

Large, one level mall. No security issues.

I used to walk this mall 10+ when I was driving shuttle for drivers. What I remember from then was when the food vendors did not have customers, they would stand in front of their shop and hand out samples of something on their menu.

Now, in 2025, this mall is full. Lots of smaller town malls have vanished. They seem to be the ones where the first chain department stores close. This one will soon have four anchors again, sort of.

The Sears store was taken over by Best Buy and it looks like they might not be using the full former store. Then Macy's and JCPenny's plus Von Mauer is going in where Herberger's used to be. IMO, another anchor of this mall is the food court. The vendor spots are always full, the eating area is 2-3 times the size of other malls and it's on the perimeter of the mall with its own entrance from the parking lot.

I think it was 2-1/2 times to get our mile walk in.
