We were looking for a place to see sea lions and this was the closest.
It is a park, overlook area along the coast in a residential area. Parking is free and is on the street, we were able to find a spot the first time through.
Before we got to this area, there was a sandy area with stairs going down to it. Some in the group went down, some did not. At that location people were in the water and the smaller sea lions would swim almost up to people.
We came over to this area, not knowing it existed before we got there, because we heard someone talking about the sea lion about in the middle of this picture. It had just given birth. Right where it is laying in this picture. The baby has not made it's way up to feed and the mother is still <> laying in the position where she gave birth.
We stood their quite a while and for most of that time the male on the right was showing his dominance. Barking and running some of the smaller males off ... THEN the big one came out of the water and he stopped barking and starting moving away from the herd and eventually dropped into the water.
There is a park here away from the shore and we did want a short distance. Mostly flat. The view from that elevation was great, even without the sea lions.
