2025 05 28 - Sunset Cliffs Coastal Trail - San Diego CA

Our airBNB is somewhere mid-shoreline on this picture.

There is a sign on at least one end of this trail but we never walked to that end. We did walk the trail twice. There are now a few spots where the trail is closed and people need to walk on the shoulder of the road to get past the closer.

There are a few places to park off street along this path and parking also seems to be allowed on the streets. The trail is along the street and is flat, but it is sand so not idea for anyone who needs help walking.

This place really came alive on Friday night with people bringing their lawn chairs, wedding pictures and proposals.

Just to the south of the trail is a Sunset Cliffs Natural Park. Beyond that is the Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery and the Cabrillo National Monument which we have been to both of those.
