NOTE: THIS IS BEING WRITTEN UP FOUR MONTHS LATER.
Our grandson had found this location on TikTok when we were out here a few months ago. We decided it was a good free place to stop and walk.
Last time we saw a mother seal who had just given birth. We didn't see anything like that this time but we did see a lot more seals near the one shown above. Last time we had walked in that area, this time we stayed on the sidewalk above. This picture was taken before the 'guards' started telling people to stay back.
Our walk here was just over a mile. We were lucky and found a parking spot, nose in to the park.
Our walk was from where this picture was taken down to a 'Children's Pool Beach.' That beach does have a wall, breaker wall, But today the seals were there also. No one in the water, but seals napping on the beach.
Here parking is free. The sidewalk is paved and flat. In places the sidewalk is right to the edge of the cliff so good easy unobstructed views. On weekends the park fills with artists selling their work and people holding dance and prayer sessions.
