As close as we got to Mexico.
As close as we got to Mexico.

NOTE: THIS IS BEING WRITTEN UP FOUR MONTHS LATER.

One more walk before heading back to our hotel for the night. We got this close walking, to the MX border. You can't see it on this picture but the fence is there, before the hills and the building. The border fence here was built back in 1993, 30 plus years ago.

Not sure why, but for most of our walk there is a ridge of dirt piled up that we were walking on. It was much firmer than trying to walk right on the sandy beach and dodge the waves. We could have walked further, not sure why we turned around and went back when we did.

But it was not our last walk, as we were leaving, we saw the signs for Visitors Center for the area and parked there, used the restrooms and did another walk.

Different type of trail.

Same hill, same buildings, different angle.

I had hoped to go to the SD Wild Animal Park see we had not gone there this spring. Didn't happen. I'm guessing the only reason we made it to the zoo this spring is because it was not just the two of us.

The non-beach trail.
