NOTE: THIS IS BEING WRITTEN UP FOUR MONTHS LATER.
Most National Parks are closed because of the shut down. Not this one, not here anyway. There is nothing to shut down.
My wife had found two ways to get to this park. We drove to her first choice, until it led passed a gate down someones driveway.
At the 2nd one we had to park on the end of the street (we did ask a neighbor there) Then we either had to climb through a pipe fence or walk around the fence onto someones yard.
... then we had to jump down a three foot ground difference and find the path.
The first part of the path was outside of the fence marking the edge of the park. Once on the path it was as seen above. Well worn but otherwise mostly unmarked. We did loose it once when we crossed a 'wash' where water had run and there were few new tracks.
I do remember one thing from this trail. Lift your feet. It is not a groomed trail and rocks work their way to the surface.
We picked a trail that was about our usual walk. While the trails were mostly unmarked there were signs where the trails crossed so we knew which trail to stay on.
... and to get back up to our car we had to get a running jump, or we could have sat on the ledge and then stood up again.
