2026 01 22 - Mall, Kirkwood, Bismarck ND

NOTE: THIS IS BEING WRITTEN UP ONE MONTH LATER.

It is the dead of winter, temps are below zero, snow on the ground. The mall is the only place to walk. There are two malls in this town, this one is further away from our hotel and looked more active online so we decided to do this one today.

We were there during 'walking hours' before the stores open.Lots of people walking. Just lay your coats on a chair, on the floor, it's ND, no one will bother then.

Store wise, this is a smaller major mall. 90 stores instead of over 100. But it does still have a Penny's as a department store. Also has a Scheel's which is common for the Dakota's. Plus a Target which to me doesn't fit as a mall anchor but there are a few malls that brought them in. And this one has an Ashley's home store. The only mall I know of that has one.

What the mall does not have is food.
