2026 01 24 - Mall, West Acres, Fargo ND

Rare store vacancy.

NOTE: THIS IS BEING WRITTEN UP ONE MONTH LATER.

On the right is where, I am assuming, Forever 21 used to be. It's not a vacant store front, it is closed off with art. The only other large vacancy is the half of Sears that Best Buy is not using. But that is committed to and is being worked on.

Other than that it is a full and busy mall. Busy ... we did one lap and my wife was done. Too crowded. Christmas in January. It's been below zero up here for days, maybe a week or more and now it is the weekend. So people are out ... to the mall.

The food court is full of stores. They have ropes up to keep the lines out of the walkway's. Von Muir is now open, not sure if it was last time we were here or not. Plus stores we rarely seen in malls anymore are still in this mall.

The current anchor's are Penny's, Macy's, Von Muir and Best Buy. (But I think their food court is more of a draw than Best Buy.

Just looked, and the remaining area of the former Sears is going to be more food. Places with indoor and outdoor seating. It doesn't say if they will have mall access or not.

So we only did one lap today. This is a one floor mall with <> 120 stores. Hardly worth getting the car warmed up for.
